Intermarché opens new store in Praia da Rocha

Intermarché has opened its first store in Praia da Rocha, Portimão.

Representing a €1.5 million investment, it is located on the busy Avenida Tomás Cabreira in the Edifício Varandas da Rocha building and bears the new brand name ‘Intermarché Express’.

As owner Phillipe Bouroux explains: “This new concept aims to provide a shopping experience that is completely focused on convenience and practicality.”

According to the businessman, the store will work with local producers and suppliers “in order to bring the region’s products to our clients”.

In fact, he said that what makes Intermarché stand out from the crowd is how it is so close to the local communities it serves.

“We commit to providing a quick and convenient shopping experience and the best products at the best prices,” Bouroux added.

This new store is the group’s third outlet in Portimão.

In a statement, the supermarket chain points out that it provides the owners of its supermarkets with great freedom to adapt their selection of products to each community.

Intermarché is owned by Os Mosqueteiros, a French group that operates several different brands in different retail segments.
