Algarve Classic Cars returns to Portimão for first time in years

Lovers of classic cars will be able to admire 150 ‘beauties’ along the Algarve’s roads as part of the 27th Algarve Classic Cars event, which will take place between Friday and Sunday (July 12-14) – and, for the first time in many years, they will be on show in Portimão.

The first stage will begin at 7pm on Friday at the Tivoli Marina Vilamoura.

On Saturday, the first event of the day will again take off from the Tivoli Marina Vilamoura at 9.30am and include stops in Paderne at 10am and later at the Portimão racetrack at 11.30am, eventually arriving in Portimão (by the riverside museum) at noon.

A second stage will take off from Portimão Marina at 3.30pm and pass by Carvoeiro at 3.40pm before the final stop at Vila Vita Parc at 4.30pm.

The final stage of the day will begin at Armação de Pêra at 5pm and will see the classic cars heading back to Vilamoura, stopping along the way at Algarve Shopping in Guia at around 5.30pm.

Two other stages are planned for Sunday, beginning at 10am at Conrad Algarve and at Cerro São Miguel at 11.30am. The award ceremony is scheduled for 4pm at Conrad.
