Vila Vita launches new-look Armação Beach Club

Vila Vita Parc is marking the official start of the summer season with the introduction of its new-look Armação Beach Club, which stretches across 300 metres of sand on the Armação de Pêra beach. It now boasts a new wooden walkway linking the three restaurants, watersports station and sunbathing area, all managed by the resort.

The three restaurants, Só Verão, Praia Dourada and Arte Náutica, serve an array of fresh seafood and fish, grilled meats and salads.

Dishes to enjoy at the restaurants include octopus salad, sautéed squid, clams “à bulhão pato”, broken eggs and prosciutto, Monchique “presunto” (cured ham) and even fish tacos and veggie burgers. At Arte Náutica, diners will want to try the specialty dish, Mozambique-style prawn curry.

Drinks and dishes from all three restaurants can be served directly on the beach for guests not wishing to leave the comfort of their sun loungers.

Watersports fans can enjoy jet ski, sailing, stand-up paddle, kayaking and pedal boats with slides into the water, all available for hire from the water sports area. The beach is also fully supervised by fully-trained lifeguards during the peak summer season.

In celebration of the arrival of summer, a number of events have been introduced, including sunset sessions at Praia Dourada, with creative cocktails and a resident DJ playing rhythmic beats, and every Sunday lunchtime in Praia Dourada there will be a Caribbean-themed beach barbecue accompanied by live music from band, Ben & The Pirates.

Another new addition this summer is the introduction of a shuttle service for those arriving at the beach club by private yacht, allowing them to dock the boat in the designated Vila Vita Parc sea corridor, followed by a water transfer to the restaurants.

“As part of the development and expansion of the Armação Beach Club, Vila Vita Parc is committed to conservation of the beach and its surrounding areas, ensuring that sustainability and marine life preservation are top of mind, with a firm commitment to reducing the use of plastic at the beach club/resort, said the resort in a press statement.
