Intermarché group donates €15,000 to Faro children’s home

Grupo Os Mosqueteiros, which owns the Intermarché supermarket chain, has donated €15,000 to Faro’s children’s home Refúgio Aboim Ascensão.

The money was the result of a campaign carried out at Intermarché supermarket during the festive season which asked shoppers to send their good wishes to four institutions, including Refúgio Aboim Ascensão.

These ‘votes of good wishes’ were then “transformed into financial support” for the four institutions.

“This project makes us proud to be part of a group that has such strong values of solidarity,” said João Magalhães from Grupo Os Mosqueteiros.

“We want to give back to the local community all that it gives to us.”

Associação Acreditar, Comunidade Vida e Paz and the Liga Portuguesa dos Direitos do Animal were the other associations that received financial support from Os Mosqueteiros.
