Tivoli Carvoeiro appoints new general manager

Minor Hotels has appointed João Jesus as the new general manager of the Tivoli Carvoeiro Algarve Resort.

Jesus joined the Tivoli group in 2001 and started working as an intern precisely at Tivoli Carvoeiro. He became the coordinator of the Groups and Golf department at the hotel the following year before joining the central sales department of the Tivoli group as Golf Business Development Manager in 2007. Three years later, he was promoted to Director of Sales in the Algarve.

In 2017, a year after the group was taken over by Minor Hotels, Jesus became the Area Director of Sales and Marketing for the group’s hotels in the Algarve.

With 17 years of experience under his belt, João Jesus hopes to guide Tivoli Carvoeiro to new heights.

“I have been with this group since the start of my career and I know what it has to offer in the Algarve. Tivoli Carvoeiro, which has a team of focused and experienced workers, is a very special hotel which I care for deeply, as this is where I started my career,” Jesus said.

Now it is time to get to work, he said, to continue “increasing the level of the hotel’s service by valuing and motivating the teams, and optimising the client experience with special emphasis on detail, making this a top hotel in the region”.
