Tivoli Carvoeiro named Europe’s ‘Best Hotel for Families’ by Condé Nast
The Algarve’s Tivoli Carvoeiro is among Portugal’s four winners of the ‘Condé Nast Johansens Awards for Excellence’, having been named Europe’s ‘Best Hotel for Families’.
The feat has been highlighted by the hotel’s general manager Mário Custódio.
“2018 was our first full year of activity after a complete revamp, which brought a new identity to the hotel and optimised our services. The DNA of the hotel is associated with families and memorable holidays. That is why it makes us hugely proud to see our resort and Carvoeiro prized at an international level,” he said.
Hotel Infante Sagres in Porto was awarded the title of ‘Best Newcomer or Back on the Scene Hotel’, Lisbon’s Santiago de Alfama was named ‘Best Urban Hotel’ and Terra Nostra Garden in Azores received the ‘Readers’ Award’.
Created to “acknowledge, reward and celebrate excellence across Condé Nast’s recommended properties”, the Awards for Excellence are described as a “trusted mark of quality recognised by consumers and travel professionals alike”.
