Street food inspires Algarve Chefs Week

Street food and typical Algarvean products will be the main themes of this year’s Algarve Chefs Week, which will take place between Monday, May 28 and Sunday, June 3 at 14 of the region’s top hotels.

Executive chefs at the hotel’s restaurants will be creating special menus for the event which can be enjoyed for €30 (not including drinks).

There will be a charitable side to the event, as always, with €1 of the price of each meal going to Faro’s CASA charity for people in need throughout the region.

A launch event will be held on Saturday, May 26 at Loulé’s municipal market.

For €10, visitors will be able to try four savoury creations as well as two desserts created by the winners of a recipe competition. They can also meet each of the participating chefs or try a series of local wines and products.

The participating hotels include Cascade Wellness & Lifestyle Resort, Conrad Algarve, Dona Filipa Hotel, Hilton Vilamoura, Macdonald Monchique Resort & Spa, NAU Salgados Dunas Suites, NAU Salgados Palace, Praia Verde Boutique Hotel, The Lake Spa Resort, Tivoli Marina Vilamoura, Anatara Vilamoura Resort, VidaMar Resort Hotel Algarve, Monte Santo Resort and Vila Monte Farm House.
