Vila Vita Parc announces love-inspired menus

Vila Vita Parc in Porches is offering lovebirds the chance to celebrate Valentine’s Day with special menus being served on February 14 at the award-winning resort’s restaurants. You can expect oysters, love potions and plenty of chocolate!

The Aladin Grill restaurant promises an “intimate and unforgettable” atmosphere with a Valentine’s Day menu (€55 per person) that includes a special ‘Love Potion’ cocktail, oysters, a main course to share comprising of rib-eye steak, tiger prawn, basil hollandaise and truffled potato followed by a hibiscus pavlova, flambéed seasonal fruit and ginger-elderflower sorbet for dessert.

For a more “laid back and informal dinner”, the beachside restaurant Praia Dourada, located in Armação de Pêra, offers a three-course menu (€22.50 pp) starting with a scallops carpaccio, yuzu and chili and celery salad with apple. There will be two main courses to choose from – Atlantic rockbass, tiger shrimp and mussels ‘moqueca’ or Josper-grilled rump steak, mango and chili chimichurri, roasted avocado and sweet potato – followed by a São Tomé 70% chocolate pudding.

Fans of Asian food will be able to enjoy special Japanese menus (€60pp) at Mizu-Teppanyaki, which opened at the start of 2017 and is offering a four-course menu especially for Valentine’s or an ‘à lá carte’ option with a selection of dishes to choose from.

Last but not least, Vila Vita’s Biergarten is preparing a three-course menu (€25pp) comprising a maple-glazed duck supreme, ginger-cranberry chutney and watercress starter, a choice of main courses – either monkfish, pancetta, green peas risotto, saffron and samphire or rump steak and sticky red wine shallots, jacket potato and asparagus – and a chocolate brownie for dessert.

In 2017, Vila Vita Parc was nominated one of the most romantic hotels in the world in the World Travel Awards.
