2017 was best year for Algarve monuments in the last two decades

Over 441,000 people visited the Algarve’s state-managed monuments in 2017, up 19.6% compared to 2016. The results have been considered the “best in the last two decades”.

The data refers to the four monuments that are managed by the Algarve’s cultural board – Sagres Fortress, the Chapel of Nossa Senhora de Guadalupe, the Megalithic Monuments of Alcalar and Milreu’s Roman ruins.
