Dear Editor,

Whilst on a recent holiday in Tavira, I stupidly lost my wallet which contained money and travel cards etc.

I returned to the bar where I thought it might be but they knew nothing about it. In a considerable panic, I went to the Tavira PSP Police Station where the officers could not have been more approachable and dedicated.

They provided a professional translator, tracked down my lost wallet, collected it in a police car and returned it to me at the station, were prepared to phone Lloyds in London to cancel my debit card and were so re-assuring and friendly that they put our English Police in a different, sub standard league.

I hope this is addressed to the correct recipient and would be delighted if you could pass my comments on to anyone else you feel should read them.
