Lisbon’s property fair expects 40,000 visitors
Optimism || Organisers are hugely optimistic over next month’s SIL, the 17th property exhibition Salão Imobiliário de Lisboa.
Taking place at Parque das Nações between October 8 and 12, as many as 40,000 visitors are expected while the number of exhibitors is up 30% on last year.
Luís Lima, head of SIL’s strategic board, stressed this “is the only real estate exhibition in Portugal that allows realtors to promote their properties on an international level”.
According to Lima, key markets are the Chinese and French, as well as investors from the CPLP, the community of Portuguese speaking countries – expected to attend the exhibition in delegations.
The event promises “many chances for exhibitors to interact and speak with foreign investors” as well as a number of conferences on various themes, including urban rehabilitation.
“I am a keen supporter of internationalisation,” said Lima, who stressed that the sector was going through a very positive era.
“We have had four trimesters of growth – and this has been the first year since 2008 that there has been growth,” he added.
Lima was speaking after the presentation of this year’s fair at Lisbon’s town hall.
