Portuguese Attorney General, Pinto Monteiro, revealed to press on February 20, that there were two arguidos in the Freeport case, although he refused to name the suspects.

He told press that he was determined to discover the truth about the Freeport case and will be questioning all the people necessary to be able to do this.

Portuguese press have speculated as to who the two arguidos may be, however officials at the attorney generals office refuse to confirm or deny any rumours surrounding the identity of the arguidos.
