PSP police have announced that 12 people were arrested for drug trafficking between June 28 and 30 as part of a special operation carried out during the Afro Nation festival in Portimão.
Five people were also identified for the sale and/or possession of nitrous oxide.
During the festival, a total of 804 doses of marijuana, 335 doses of cocaine, 63 doses of amphetamines, 46 doses of hashish, and €1,845 in cash made from drug trafficking were seized.
The main goals of the operation were to “maintain public order, manage traffic, and prevent criminal activities that generate a greater sense of insecurity in the community within the PSP’s jurisdiction,” the police force said.
