An 11-year-old boy has been rushed to hospital today following an explosion in a house in Santa Marta de Portuzelo, Viana do Castelo. A source for the Viana do Castelo firefighters has been quoted by Lusa as saying “the child was playing with pyrotechnic material”. Nothing further has been explained. The boy has been transferred to Porto’s São João Hospital (which has one of the country’s best burns units).
