PORTUGUESE FILM maker Manoel de Oliveira turned 100 on Friday, making him the oldest active film maker in the business.
Despite his advanced years, Manoel de Oliveira has not slowed down his production rate and is currently working on his 46th feature length film.
Films by the aged director have often baffled and confused audiences but they have been critically acclaimed and he has won numerous awards at major festivals including Cannes and Venice.
