Last June, Sobre Artes, a dance school in Praia da Luz, welcomed an international dance examiner into the school for their students to take part in IDTA (International Dance Teachers’ Association) exams.
Fifteen young dancers took ballet, modern jazz and tap exams, ranging from the Rosettes as young as four-years-old, all the way up to Vocational Advanced 1.
All ballet and modern jazz students received distinctions, and tap students received a mixture of merits and distinctions.
To add to this achievement, one of the oldest students, Annika Thomas, was invited to the IDTA awards at the Royal College of Music in Manchester, UK.
