10 year anniversary

IT HAS been 10 years since the Algarve Way, or Via Algarviana, was created by the Algarve Wednesday Walkers and their founder Maurice Clyde with the aim of creating a cross Algarve walkers route.

The walk, which was based on the trail made by pilgrims to visit St Vincent’s grave in Sagres before it was moved to Lisbon during the 12th century, the end of the known Medieval world at the time, has now been walked and ridden on horse back many times.
